A Brief Introduction

Peach Pit is an indie band from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The band consists of 4 members; Neil Smith as the lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Christopher Vanderkooy on lead guitar and keyboard, Peter Wilton on bass, and Mike Pascuzzi on drums.

Peach Pit has been releasing music since 2016 with their first release of “Sweet Fa” and just released their newest album “From 2 to 3” on March 4, 2022. Their new album is streaming on every platform, and is available for order on their website.

Garage Band Beginnings

After becoming friends in high school, Smith and Vanderkooy discovered their love for music together. After a couple years of having jam sessions, they decided to pursue their careers as musicians and formed the band “Peach Pit”.

They would play the occasional gig at their local venues, but realized they were missing something. It was then, in 2015, they added Wilton and Pascuzzi to their band. After a year of work, Peach Pit released their debut EP “Sweet FA”.

Unique Noise

As a self proclaimed “chewed bubblegum pop” band, they draw sound inspiration from all over. With attachments to wavy, jangle guitar jams, loud drums, and sultry sounds, Peach Pit presents a unique sound for its fans. However, its most notable genres are that of surf rock and sad pop.

Making Waves

After finding success with their self titled, introductory song “Peach Pit” on “Sweet FA,”  the band went on to further build their reputation. With sales and streams helping them quickly get to the top of the indie-pop genre, it was only a matter of time before they hit the touring scene.

Touring and Travels

After getting the green light from their label for a world tour, the band members finally quit their day jobs and hit the road. From 2017-2018, the band sold out every venue it went to, and continued to grow itself into a staple in the indie-pop scene.

Now, with the new year, new album, and new hope for COVID-19 to die down, the band has announced that it is going on another world tour. It consists of 48 dates and will be accessible to everyone. To find out more, visit their website here.  On their site, you will be able to get tour dates, buy tickets and merchandise, and links to their socials so you can stay up to date on all things Peach Pit.
