State Champs’ New Song Won’t be “Outta My Head” For a While

Pop-punk band State Champs released a new single last Friday. “Outta My Head” follows up to “Just Sound” and “Elevated (Lo-Fi).”

State Champs Have Done it Again

State Champs have been giving us nothing but great music recently. Just last month, the band released their latest track “Just Sound,” and now they’re back to give fans even more brand new music.

“Outta My Head” is an explosive and fun song about – as the title suggests – not being able to get a special someone out of your head. “I can’t get you. Out of my head, out of my head. Spinning around the edge. Play it again, play it again. Yeah but I’m down with it,” they sing in the chorus.

State Champs actually first teased the new song over the weekend prior to its release whilst playing Slam Dunk Festival. There, they played “Outta My Head” for the hundreds of fans who were in the audience. Now, the song is finally out for the entire world to enjoy.

Catch Them on Tour This Fall!

Vocalist Derek DiScanio explains, “Outta My Head is a faster, nostalgic, rooty one for us. Drawing inspiration from the early 2000s, we tried to execute an ear wormy energetic tune that could have easily been heard on the American Pie movies soundtrack, or other rom coms alike. If you’re not singing the chorus by the third time it comes around, well, just hit the replay button, I suppose.”

“Outta My Head” also arrives ahead of the 2021 US Pure Noise Tour, on which they’ll be supported by labelmates Four Year Strong, Real Friends, Just Friends, and Bearings. The tour will kick off on September 14 in Nashville, TN, and will go on for over a month until it reaches its end on October 22 in New York, NY. A full list of dates and tickets can be found here.
