With social account’s posts filled with the hashtag #freedug, the rapper returns to the scene as acclaimed as he’s never been. Straight from jail, the rapper released a single that seems the announcement of an imminent revenge. “IDGAF” seems an attempt of the artist to face directly his haters and all those who put a spanner in his works.

Together with the song, the official “IDGAF” Music Video came out.

More than a collaboration

The song “IDGAF” was produced by Tyymachine and ProdbyJM, while it was released through Yo Gotti’s collaborative record company CMG Records/Interscope Records. But this is not the first time that the record company and Detroit rapper collaborate. In fact, earlier this summer Dugg opened his way through the rap scene and shined in July CMG’s compilation album Gangsta Art.

In the compilation, the artist dropped nothing less than one of his biggest success most sincere, SOON (feat Arabian).  Indeed, the song, a melodic piano based rap ballad, is a deep confession themed on one’s dreams achievement. The song also describes the attempt of becoming the person you worked and prayed to be.

As for as the other songs in the compilation, multiple hits are present. Not a single rapper that joined the project missed the chance to drop a hit. In its entirety, Gangsta Art appears as a huge and cohesive expression of today’s popular and crude gangsta rap.

Just consider that among the 27-tracks, singles like SteppersHold Me DownDog House are only some of the multiple tracks that perfectly prove the group’s deep and real substance. And the fierce of the collaboration is strengthened by the presence of multiple guests. Some of this includes of the likes of Kodak Black and Coi Leray as well.
