Tom Holland Reveals He’s ‘Taking a Year Off’ from Acting

A Tough Time Dealing With Everyday’s Problems

Tom Holland decided to take a break from acting after producing and starring in the Apple TV+ limited series The Crowded Room. “It was definitely a tough time – said the British actor – being a producer, dealing with the everyday problems that arise on a film set, it added another layer of pressure”

We think that the life of famous people is always rosy, but that’s not always the case. Like everyone else, they have to face obstacles and problems. This time it’s Tom Holland who is trying to pull the plug. Probably to be in better shape than ever after this break.

Tom didn’t deny that he appreciated his role in the series, but he also admitted that this work “destroyed” him, which is why he would have decided to take a sabbatical year. “This is the result of how difficult it was “, he added. Holland starred in the crime thriller alongside Amanda Seyfried, Emmy Rossum and Sasha Lane and played Danny Sullivan in the series, which tells of an unsuspecting young man who is arrested for a shooting at Rockefeller Center in the summer of 1979.

The Break from Social Media

A beautiful experience, but also very complicated. Which is why the actor needed to free his head and dedicate himself to travel, golf and to devote as much time as possible to family and friends. In the past, the Uncharted star has spoken openly about prioritizing his mental health, even announcing his hiatus from social media last August. “I find Instagram and Twitter too overwhelming” – the actor told fans in a video message. “I get caught up when I read about myself online and it’s ultimately very damaging to my mental state. So, I decided to take a step back and delete the app”

Tom Holland is yet another one who’s suffering from the distorted vision of today’s society. Social media, expectations, hate and envy have made normal problems much bigger than before. And for this reason, we can only blame ourselves, both victims and perpetrators.
