Country star Thomas Rhett shared his latest single, the moving “Slow Down Summer.” The track arrives on the heels of his collaboration with Surfaces on “C’est La Vie.”
Reminiscing Memories on “Slow Down Summer”
Earlier this year, Thomas dropped his newest album Country Again (Side A.) Since then, he has released the solo single “Redneck Be Like” and “C’est La Vie,” alongside Surfaces. Now, the singer just revealed that “Slow Down Summer” is the first track off an upcoming project, set to arrive next year.
“Slow Down Summer” is a sweet, moving song that talks about having a close relationship with someone special during the summer, and not wanting that time to be over. Because, at the end of the day, summer is always too short. “Never seen a brighter green in those eyes and. I put my jacket on your shoulder. Wishin’ the weather wasn’t gettin’ colder. Lettin’ you go, holdin’ onto each other. Closin’ our eyes, sayin’, ‘Slow down, summer,” Thomas sings in the chorus.
TWO Thomas Rhett Albums Are on The Way
Through an Instagram post, Thomas shared an update with his fans. “So last year and this year on the road me and my team have been writing so many songs. What we’ve decided to do is to put out two albums next year, which is going to be awesome. I’m so pumped. I cannot wait for y’all to hear these new songs and I cannot wait to play them for you live on the road next year. But until then, y’all get excited. Tell your friends, tell your parents, tell your dogs, tell anybody.”
He revealed that “Slow Down Summer” will be the first single from his forthcoming album, Where We Started, which is set for release in early 2022. And Country Again: Side B will be released later next year in Fall 2022. Yes, that’s right! We’ll be getting two Thomas Rhett albums next year. So, buckle up and get ready!
