The band led by Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic, recently surpassed billion streams with their most recent album, ‘An Evening With Silk Sonic‘.
But this incredible milestone is definitely not a surprise. It was indeed predictable that such a catchy and musically evolved album would hit the many. And it is more than deserved!
This milestone was predictable also thanks to the success that the album has achieved on the world charts. The album was, in fact, well received by fans, who brought it very close to the top. In fact, let’s think about the sixth place obtained in the Billboard’s “Best R&B Albums of 2021,” or the seventh place in the Billboard’s “The Best Albums of 2021.”
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s collaborative album hit the landmark just before the end of December, giving the duo and their band a wonderful gift.
An Evening with Silk Sonic
The album, which was originally due to be released in January 2022, crossed the threshold of the music industry on November 12 instead. In just over a month, the album has been listened to over a billion times! And the multiple trends that started on social networks such as TikTok helped the number of plays to raise. In fact, we recall the one associated with the iconic Smoking Out The Window. And let’s not forget the single Leave the Door Open!
In fact, the band has produced one of the undoubtedly best albums of 2021. It is in fact an album that mixes retro features with more contemporary melodic lines. It includes influences as R&B, soul, funk and pop. And this is no surprise for US singer-songwriter and record producer Peter Gene Hernandez, aka Bruno Mars. The artist has in fact always brought an innovation in the music industry thanks to a nostalgic reference to the rock n roll of the 50’s and funk of the 70’s. The artist and multi-instrumentalist is in fact a big fan of Elvis Presley, among others. So much so that he even starred as a little Elvis in the movie Honeymoon in Vegas. And he was only 7 years old!
In short, the success obtained and which will surely continue to obtain this album is more than deserved. The only flaw? It ends too soon!
