From the Beatles to Tupac Shakur, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame presents some of the most prestigious names of the music industry from the 50s to date. Every year, the list of the names in the Hall Of Fame grows, adding some of the most influential artists to the group of those who defined the music scene of a specific period and genre. These are the artist that will go down in history.
The complete list of 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees was released. The director of the foundation that runs the Rock Hall, John Sykes, stated,
“This year’s ballot recognizes a diverse group of incredible artists, each who has had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture.”
In May, the artists will finally know who made it to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland. The ceremony will take place later this year; as usual, it will take place in New York.
Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Museum
The headquarter of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is in Cleveland’s, Ohio, Museum. It is dedicated to the memory of some of the most important and influential talent in the music industry.
Initially, the museum focused its attention on artists belonging to the rock and roll genre. As the years went by, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation opened its doors to artists from various genres, including rap and hip hop.
The Foundation added the first group of artists to the museum on Jan, 23 1986. To this group of artist belong Chuck Berry, James Brown, Ray Charles, Little Richard, Sam Phillips, Elvis Presley and many more.

The list
Among the others in the list, some incredible names appeared. Some of these artists are nominated for the first time. To represent the female side of the music industry, two iconic female names stand out: country singer and songwriter Dolly Parton, and You’re So Vain singer and songwriter Carly Simon.
Moreover, even if not for the first time, the names of Kate Bush and Dionne Warwick appear as well.
One of the best rappers in the hip hop scene Eminem and Hello R&B performer Lionel Richie were included for the first time as well. Also Beck, one of the leading exponents of indie rock, and 80s hit makers Duran Duran were first nominated.
