It’s name of one of the most famous and influential album in the history of music. Also the name of one of the most famous and successful recording studios ever. Abbey Road has returned to be the talk of the town once again. This time after an important announcement from one of the artists who helped maintain it’s big reputation. In fact, English songwriter, guitarist and record producer Noel Gallagher says he is filming a new documentary. This documentary includes the making of his new album. And where can it take place if not at Abbey Road Studios?
After the acclaimed and beloved debut of the film “The Beatles: Get Back” by the band that created the fame of the studios, it is the turn of the older brother from the band Oasis. In fact, the 2021 documentary television miniseries was also recorded at the London studios. The Fab Four were documented via film while devoting themselves to the artistic creation of the album “Let It Be.” They planned the first live performance in three years as well. It was indeed their last performance, today known as The Rooftop Concert.
But Gallagher said the documentary will be completely different from “Get Back.” “Me writing, once you’ve seen it for an hour, then you’ve seen it,” he said. “They’re The Beatles and Paul McCartney is writing ‘Get Back’ and I’m writing a record which, frankly, with the best will of the world, not a lot of people are going to give a shit about. Me noodling away on the same five chords I’ve been using all my life going, ‘Sunshine, through the rain, can’t buy fame . . . ’, it’s not got the same gravitas.”
