Morgan Wallen Headlining Covenant School Benefit Concert

On August 7th, country music star Morgan Wallen will perform in Nashville. Why? ‘A Covenant Knight at the Grand Ole Opry House’ is taking place. The benefit concert’s line-up also includes Anne Wilson, Brandon Heath, Jason Aldean, Jeffrey Steele, Lee Brice, Maddie & Tae, Morgan Wallen, NEEDTOBREATHE, Old Dominion, Zach Williams, and special guests.

The live music event honors the six lives lost during the shooting on March 27th this year. Killed in the shooting were three students: William Kinney, 9, Evelyn Dieckhaus, 9, and Hallie Scruggs, 9, and three adults: Katherine Koonce, Mike Hill, and Cynthia Peak.

The live event also raises funds for the survivors and mourners of the shooting. “All proceeds will go to The Covenant School Community Fund to continue mental health support for healing, ease the transition back into the building and equip the school for a safe, successful new year together,” according to the Opry’s website.

Zach Williams posted his thoughts on the event on social media. “It’s an honor to be invited to support the students and families from the Covenant School. Music has a remarkable ability to bring us all together, and through this event, we can continue to provide solace, strength, and healing to all involved. There is no better place in Nashville to demonstrate the resilience and unity of this community than at the Opry House, so let’s show the world that we are all #CovenantStrong.”
