Major Lazer & Paloma Mami Drop ‘QueLoQue’ Music Video

Paloma Mami is a Latin artist on the rise. She showed us what she can do in the ‘QueLoQue’ music video. In collaboration with Major Lazer, they have made a banger song that is certain to be stuck in people’s heads.

The song is part of Major Lazer’s fourth album, Music is the Weapon. The album was originally titled Lazerism, and it was first announced in 2016. In 2018. In a 2019 interview, Diplo said that the album would now be called Music is the Weapon, and would feature new songs with Major Lazer’s updated line-up. After multiples pushbacks, the trio finally released the album on October 23, 2020.

Honing into their reggaeton-inspired sound, Major Lazer mixes a fiery beat. Paloma Mami details an irresistible night on the dancefloor. In a statement about the collaboration, Paloma Mami expressed what made them love the track. “‘QueLoQue’ has been in the works for a while now and I’m so happy to finally be able to share it with you all! It has a fire energy to it with some elements of old school reggaeton and mixing it with that electronic touch from Major Lazer.”

If you want to hear a mix of Latin and electronic music, this song is definitely for you. The video stars Paloma Mami wearing different outfits and hairstyles, alongside crazy-looking backgrounds like the sky and space. Paloma also shows us some killer dance moves that go along with the catchy song. The song talks about her desire to get the man she likes, and she tells him to not underestimate her. “Lo que necesitas, puedo darte todo lo que necesitas / Tengo la salsa, por eso e’ que me imitan / Con la única que te debilitas / Así me vea bien chiquita.” The lyrics mean “What you need, I can give you what you need / I have the salsa, that’s why they act like me / I’m the only one you’re weak with / Even though I look tiny.”
