Madison Beer to Release “The Half of It” Memoir

Singer-songwriter and actress Madison Beer has been in the music industry for ten years. In April, she will reveal the ups and downs of it all in her debut memoir The Half of It. 

Madison Has a Lot to Talk About

You might be wondering, why would someone write a memoir at only 23 years old? Well, when you’ve been in the music industry since you were 13, and have experienced things such as trauma, depression, and anxiety due to it, there might be a few things you can write about. This is exactly Madison’s situation.

Madison worked on her memoir for the past two years. In it, she will talk about her journey to becoming a successful musician, which started when she went viral at age 12 with a cover of “At Last” by Etta James that Justin Bieber shared. After that happened, it earned over 1.5 million views. Following her viral run, she was signed to Island Records in 2013 and released her debut single, “Melodies.” It was well received and peaked at number 21 on the US Billboard Heatseekers chart. In 2021, she finally got to release her debut album Life Support. In it, she shared powerful songs such as “Selfish,” “Stained Glass,” and “Emotional Bruises.”

“The Half of It” Will Tackle Sensitive Topics

Currently, Madison amasses over 34 million Instagram followers, who got really excited to her about her memoir announcement. “It feels truly surreal to be announcing this book and I am so excited to share my story with you in a way i never have before,” she shared in the announcement. “From the reality of being signed at twelve, to everything that followed, where I am now, and my journey of reconciling with everything that came before. It has taken me a lot of extremely dark times to get here but I feel incredibly ready to tell you these chapters of my story. I hope you love it. I can’t wait to reintroduce myself to you.”

According to the book synopsis, The Half of It will also mention Madison’s experience to having her privacy invaded when private pictures got leaked, as well as mental health problems such as considering suicide. As well, it well see her journey to recovery.
