Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero is an upcoming film documenting the rapper’s first-ever global tour. The film is debuting at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) the second week of September.
Lil Nas X (real name Montero Lamar Hill) is introducing the film at the festival. He’s sure to steal the show with his lively personality. Although, he might surprise the audience with his more serious side, given the importance of the film’s subjects.

According to TIFF’s website, “Carlos López Estrada was born in Mexico City. He has directed music videos for artists including Billie Eilish, Father John Misty, Thundercat, Katy Perry, Carly Rae Jepsen, and clipping. He’s also directed the feature films Blindspotting (18), Summertime (20), and Raya and the Last Dragon (21).” Also, according to the website, “Zac Manuel is a director and cinematographer from New Orleans. He has directed the short films Painted Lady (15), Closed to Interpretation (17), The Cut (20), and This Body (21).”
Both directors are experienced in directing music videos, so a feature-length film about a musician should be a captivating watch.
