He’s also dipped his toes in the television scene, writing episodes for “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and “The Other Two.” As a solo artist, Leland has so far released 5 tracks with “Bad At Letting Go” being his first single release since 2019.

Pop Breakup Anthem
“Bad At Letting Go” features on a classic 80s beat, showcasing old-timey piano riffs in the beginning as well as classic drum synth grooves. Leland’s strong vocal energy leads the listener along in the first verse, while Muna brings a beautiful lyrical shape to the track.
When speaking about the track, Leland commented: “The song takes place within the blip of time where a relationship has just ended but you and your now ex are the only people who know it. You put a pause on processing the breakup and channel all of that emotion into a crisis-induced dance where you feel everything, and nothing.”
The relatable chorus definitely displays these themes:
“Dancing in the bar /
The boys have all turned to shapes /
Cursing in the dark /
And no one heard anything /
It’s like lighting a match /
That you don’t еver throw /
I’m good at getting attached /
And bad at lеtting go”
