“What A Song Can Do” is a Love Letter to Fans
Starting off 2022 right, Lady A announced that the title track of their latest album What A Song Can Do, released in October; will serve as the official next single for the country band, allowing it to be heard at country radio stations and give it more exposure to their audience.
The title track from their eighth studio album serves as a love letter to fans. Written by Lady A’s Charles Kelley with Ryan Hurd, Sam Ellis and Laura Veltz, “What A Song Can Do” also illustrates the patience and optimism the trio has taken from their years together.
Charles shares, “We have been overfilled with gratitude after releasing this album. We don’t take it lightly that after eight albums our music still resonates with so many people. This song is the summation of where our hearts are right now and how much music can really pull us through in times of need. We love writing songs about lost love and things like that, but I feel like our favorite material comes with a strong positive message.”
“What A Song Can Do” symbolizes all the feelings that you can experience when you listen to your favorite music. Additionally, they reminisce about their time together as a band for the past 15 years. Lady A put these feelings into words perfectly through the song’s lyrics. “It can make you dance and make you cry. Make you wanna give it one more try. Start a band, and kiss that girl. And break some rules. It’ll make you give your heart and get it back. Change your mind just like that. When it’s like every single line was written just for you. Ain’t it crazy what a song can do?” they state in the chorus.
Catch the Band at Country Festivals This Winter
Lady A will head over to play at a limited number of country music festivals starting this February at San Antonio, TX’s famous Stock Show & Rodeo. They will also play at Florida’s Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL on Mar 3. You can find all dates and tickets to their shows here.
