KT Oslin well known for hits like “Hold Me,” “I’ll Always Come Back,” and “Come Next Monday”, has passed at the age of 78. Oslin worked with everyone in the business, her songs being performed by The Judds, Dottie West, and Sissy Spacek battled Parkinson’s and COVID-19.

Oslin found her feelings of success when she created a trio and created “80’s Ladies,” in which she took home two Country Music Awards for both female vocalist and song of the year.
The song of the year win would keep Oslin in the history books for years to come for being the first woman to win.
As her career grew, she went on to win two Grammy’s, four Academy Country Music Awards and became inducted into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Sarah Trahern, CEO of the Country Music Association, told the Associated Press, “K.T. Oslin had one of the most soulful voices in Country Music and was a strong influence for women with her hit ’80’s Ladies,’” said Trahern “I was fortunate to work with K.T. on several television shows in the late 90s. She was always gracious to the crews and up-and-coming talent performing alongside her. She truly had one of the best voices in the history of our format. Our thoughts go out to her loved ones at this difficult time.
While the actual death has not been released, Olin has been in a facility since 2016 fighting Parkinson’s disease and was recently diagnosed with COVID-19. She had been dealing with Parkinson’s disease for a while before entering the facility.
