Justin Timberlake is going to perform at a gala that will support the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA).
Justin Timberlake At The Gala
American singer, actor, and record producer Justin Timberlake will perform at a gala supporting the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. All funds received will go towards critical care of the hospital’s pediatric patients.
This gala is not Timberlake’s first foray into philanthropy, nor will it be his last. Aside from NSYNC’s Challenge for Children, there are many other philanthropic pursuits he’s been involved in. He created the Justin Timberlake Foundation in 2001, and donated $100,000 to the Wildlife Warriors in 2007 with money from his tour. In 2008, he gave $100,000 to the Memphis Rock ‘N Soul Museum, and another $100,000 to the Memphis Music Foundation.
Then in 2009, he contributed to and endorsed Shriners Hospital for Children. Afterwards, a review of celebrity endorsements that year concluded that his was the most valuable, worth over $9 million.
Timberlake has helped communities after Hurricane Sandy, donated to multiple charities, and helped raise over $2 million for Manchester Arena bombing victims.

Billboard’s Paul Grein reports that film star Chris Pine and his veteran-actor father, Robert Pine, will co-host the gala. The event begins at 5:30pm PT on the red carpet. It’ll continue with a reception and dinner. The gala is estimated to end around 10pm PT.
The title sponsor is Panda Express, a longtime partner of the hospital.
According to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles website, “Panda Express associates foster the spirit of giving in stores with every donation bell rung and in our communities with every volunteer event held.” With their philanthropic arm, Panda Cares, they’ve made themselves “invaluable” to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
The Children’s Hospital Los Angeles gala will be held on Saturday, October 8th, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA.
