Jeremy Zucker Recruits BENEE For “I’m So Happy”

Singer-songwriter Jeremy Zucker recruited New Zealand artist BENEE for “I’m So Happy,” their new single.

Jeremy Returns After One Year

Jeremy Zucker is back! Believe it or not, it has nearly been one year since the release of his latest album CRUSHER, which marked the last time we heard new music from the singer. But the wait is now over! He joined forces with BENEE for a new single, which we absolutely love.

“I’m So Happy” is a very sarcastic and fun track. In it, Jeremy expresses feeling amazing since he parted ways with an ex, and reveals that his life is now brighter. “No bullsh*t to argue. I don’t hold a thing against you. I’m so grateful. Every day, I’m smilin’ way more. I’m so happy you’re not here,” he sings.

The song sounds distinct from the past pop-rock tracks that he offered in his last album like “18” and “HONEST.” However, its lyricism showcases the classic essence of Jeremy – passionate, emotional, and truthful.

“I’m So Happy” is Sarcastic and Fun

“’I’m so happy’ is a song about fantasy,” Jeremy says. “I wanted to flip the idea of longing; instead of wishing to be somewhere with a special someone, I wrote the song while wishing to be somewhere *without* someone. The contradiction of the lyrics versus the instrumental is what I love most about it. Sonically, it has elements that may remind listeners of my old songs. I’m so grateful to BENEE for her part in creating this song – I hope you guys love it as much as we loved making it.”

“When Jeremy first sent me the song, I was instantly drawn to the lyrics,” BENEE adds. “I love how this song makes me feel when I sing it.. especially the hook! For me, this song is definitely about coming out the other end of getting over the wrong person & them finally being out of your life lol. I was so stoked to work on this song with him & was equally stoked with being able to make the video with him in LA.”
