Jon Pardi has been celebrating the holidays with the release of his first-ever Christmas album. Merry Christmas From Jon Pardi was released on October 27th, and the season of merry has been going on full-steam ahead since.
According to the press release, Jon Pardi, Bart Butler and Ryan Gore produced the 12-track holiday album. It is available now and came out the same week Pardi became the first California native inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.
“A Very Merry Christmas With Jon Pardi”
Jon Pardi’s “A Very Merry Christmas With Jon Pardi” show was held at Beacon Theatre in New York, N.Y., on December 16th.
New York wasn’t the only city getting a Pardi Christmas show. The country star headed to Nashville on November 26th to play the Opry Country Christmas shows. This time, he returned to the Grand Ole Opry House as an Opry member.
While he had holiday shows on the horizon, Pardi was also on tour. He’s been promoting his album Mr. Saturday Night, which earned him his third ACM Album of the Year nomination (three times running). The tour began in Knoxville, Tennesee. Along the way, he’s played amazing shows in Pikeville, Kentucky; Savannah, Georgia; and Hollywood, Florida.
Jon Pardi Reschedules Shows Due to Illness
Unfortunately, there’s bad news in the midst of all this good. On October 25th, Pardi had to reschedule three shows due to strep throat. On November 2nd, he had to reschedule again. This time due to an illness plaguing himself, his wife and his 8-month-old.
“Just gonna cut right to the chase: I have to reschedule this weekend,” Pardi said in a video shared on social media. “Also, I now have COVID. Presley has COVID. Summer’s probably got COVID. It’s been going around my family and band and crew.”
The Nampa show, the Missoula show and the Billings show were postponed.
“I was really looking forward to this weekend, but I gotta get healthy and rest,” the country artist said. “There’s nothing fun about this,” he added. “I hate this. And I’m sorry, once again. I hope everybody’s safe out there.”
