Jason Derulo & Adam Levine of Maroon 5 Team up in ‘Lifestyle’

Jason Derulo has teamed up with Adam Levine of Maroon 5 for a new song, ‘Lifestyle.’ The track, as most of Derulo’s songs, is catchy and upbeat. It makes you want to get up and dance and is fun to listen to.

Jason Derulo’s New Era

Five days before its release, Jason went to Instagram to announce the new collab. “Welcome to the new era,” he hinted. On the release date, he said “One of my fav songs I’ve done & it features @adamlevine Had 2 go crazy for this dance ONLY video. Chk it out if u love DANCE. Link in bio #lifestyle.” The song banner has also been used on New York City’s famous Times Square screens. This is a song that is definitely going to become a hit.

The track features Derulo and Levine trying to woo a woman with high-class tastes. “You ’bout that lifestyle / Everybody knows / Diamonds ain’t got nothin’ on you”. The video, although sadly doesn’t include Levine, shows Derulo and a cadre of backup dancers in some insanely lavish surroundings. Jason did an amazing job making this a dance video and capturing the essence of the song.

In a June interview with Forbes, Derulo talked about why he hasn’t been as productive lately, citing disagreements with his record label.   “I was able to get off of my record label, Warner Bros., which I’ve been with for 12 years,” he said. “It just wasn’t a healthy situation. I feel like there have been so many regimes there. I was so far removed from the people who signed me. We’re four regimes later, and you can’t expect those people to understand me or my vision or my music. My manager and I, Frank Harris, devised a plan to get off the record label and do my own thing.”

Past Songs From the Duo

The last studio album from Derulo is Everything Is 4, which came out in 2015. Since then, he’s dropped several singles, including 2017’s ‘Swalla’ featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign and last year’s ‘Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat).’

Maroon 5, meanwhile, released ‘Nobody’s love’ last year. They also released hit singles like ‘Girls Like You’ featuring Cardi B and ‘Memories,’ although their last album Red Pill Blues was released in 2017.

Listen to ‘Lifestyle’ and make your own dance with your friends!
