Last week, the R&B pop sensation Giveon debuted a brand new single just in time for those fall vibes. ‘For Tonight‘ is the latest single for the artist that has been blowing up since last year.
This time around Giveon tugs on our heartstrings with some more somber music. ‘For tonight’ is a song where Giveon finds himself in a somewhat toxic situationship. His lyrics talk about wanting something you can’t have, but still having it anyways. Filled with guilt and mixed feelings, Giveon expresses his true emotions with this hit.
The song has some amazing production behind it and the melody has Sam Smith’s Stay With Me” vibes. Overall, this is a solid track to be added to the collection of music he has been coming out with recently. And after just performing this very song on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, watch out for Giveon to end this year with a bang.
Giveon Keeps Giving On
After being on two of the biggest albums this year Giveon has given us not only a single but let not forget his debut album. From Justin Bieber’s ‘Peaches‘ to Drake’s ‘In the Bible” off CLB, Giveon has been on fire with features. And back in March, we got the solo album When It’s All Said And Done…Take Time. The 13-track project featured the Viral Tik-Tok song “Heartbreak Anniversary” and “Stuck On You“.
And although this debut didn’t do as well as the EP Take Time that put him on the map, it showed the potential the young singer-songwriter has. He will have plenty of time to hone his skills as the year comes to a close.
