Acknowledging Toxicity as a “Party Trick;” ella jane’s Latest

ella jane is a brand new soul that’s got a synth oriented vibe wrapped up in a self-deprecating bow. She isn’t as popular as other artists we’ve covered. Like, “the lyrics for her latest song haven’t even been made available on Genius” level underground. She’s definitely one that we’ll be watching with great interest. Speaking of which, let’s take a quick look at her most recent release “Party Trick.”

Acknowledging Toxicity as a Party Trick:

Oh wow! A song where an artist meets someone at a party, gets into a relationship… Then it ends due to them rushing in with no feeling?? Yes, that’s exactly what this is. Yet, ella jane takes the blame with a bubbly beat and a Billie Eilish style delivery before going off. The louder but contained singing sets her apart from the aforementioned Billie Eilish. For that she’s already setting herself apart.

The use of parties as a center for this kind of shallow and loathsome behavior isn’t anything new. The nice thing about this one is that it relates to a pattern. See, ella jane admits that she gets into those kinds of situationships until she’s sick of it. There’s a great energy carrying this messed up conduct, thanks to the beat.

All in all, I recommend ella jane and “Party Trick” a listen and come up with your own conclusions. That’s it for now. For more on your favorites and unknown check out our Word and Drops sections.
