DJ Khaled collaborates with notorious artists Drake, JAY-Z, Eminem, Future, Kanye West and more on his thirteenth album, God Did. The album arrives slightly over a year after his previous LP, KHALED KHALED. The record producer and DJ experiments with Hip-Hop/Rap and R&B music. Importantly, DJ Khaled is approaching diamond status with his biggest hit “I’m The One” featuring Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne. The “All I Do Is Win” DJ announced the tracklist of the highly anticipated God Did album on his social media prior to the release.

Title Track “God Did”

In detail, the boastful eight minute title track “God Did” with Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, JAY-Z, John Legend & Fridayy speaks to the people that doubted them. The enticing chorus conveys how others’ opinions were irrelevant, because God believed in them. Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and JAY-Z, trade motivational bars about their high status, rise to fame, wealth, haters, and struggle.

Rap legend Lil Wayne claims he “made the culture” and set trends with his dreadlocks and face tats. Many upcoming rappers replicate not only his flow and sound, but his face tattoos and hairstyles.

JAY-Z shines a light on the people holding on by threads in the midst of turmoil. “I be speakin’ to the souls of men/ Those of them willin’ to die for the existence that this cold world has chose for them” He emphasizes the growth that comes with struggle and there is hope for those struggling. The motivational bars are purposeful and instills the hope that your dreams are achievable.

“Use This Gospel (Remix)”

Consequently, people were stunned to see Eminem and Kanye West on the same track. Their last collaboration was on the track “Forever” in 2009 featuring the two rappers, Drake and Lil Wayne. In “Use This Gospel (Remix)” Kanye and Eminem instill all faith and trust in God as they experience dark times. They worship his power and view him as King of the Kingdom.

“Beautiful”

On the other hand, “Beautiful” features stunning vocals from R&B/soul singer SZA on the chorus and rapper Future on the verses. Future shows love and appreciation for his woman whom he has a toxic relationship with. Future refuses to leave her because she’s so beautiful and special to him.

“Juice WRLD Did”

Notably, DJ Khaled includes a collaboration on God Did with late rapper Juice WRLD. Posthumous releases have always been a controversial subject. The track was previewed in February of 2019, on No Limit Maneski’s Instagram live and eventually leaked in 2020. In “Juice WRLD Did” Juice WRLD shouts out DJ Khaled in the chorus.

DJ Khaled with them straps, I got another one/ DJ Khaled, a hundred racks, I made another one/DJ Khaled with the tats, I got another one”

It is unknown if Juice WRLD wanted the track to be released prior to his passing.
