Discover RAYE And Her Journey Since ‘Escapism’

Discover with us RAYE, the artist who broke the internet with her hit “Escapism.” With her incredible voice and amazing bars, she has more than that to offer.

From “Escapism” to the Debut with My 21st Century Blues

If you’ve heard of RAYE, it’s probably because you first heard the single that opened all the doors to this incredible British singer. Those doors opened when “Escapism” went viral on TikTok.

The single introduces a woman in the position of wanting to leave her past behind and embark on new adventures — even if that means not feeling. “I don’t wanna feel, so I stick to sippin,” sings RAYE in her hit collaboration with 070 Shake.

“I cannot actually believe I am writing this
I was 7 years old when I wrote my first song
I was 10 years old when I made the commitment that I would be a professional musician.
I was 15 years old when I released my first song.
I was 17 years old when I signed my record deal.
I am about turn 25 years old, and I get to tell you…
(As an independent artist)

My debut album 𝐌𝐲 𝟐𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 out now🫀😭”

These are the words that marked the release of RAYE’s debut album, My 21st Century Blues

The album marks a huge step for the singer who, as she mentioned on her Instagram account, has been writing songs since she was seven.

In her strong British accent, the artist creates a majestic mix of reggae and R&B, such as in the majestic and haunting “Mary Jane.” Soul and hip-hop songs like “The Thrill Is Gone” and “Oscar Winning Tears” stand out for their musicality, perfect assembling of words, as well as the singer’s beautiful and strong voice, often looked over when only thinking about “Escapism.”

With My 21st Century Blues, RAYE created a tangible, engaging, cursed, and doomed world of sadness, excess, and sweet revenge.

RAYE Goes International

RAYE is about to leave her home country, England, to embark on a world tour. After her final night in London this September 26, the artist will hit North America. RAYE will perform in over 29 cities for as many nights, starting from Las Vegas and finishing with Los Angeles on November 7.

The artist will later head back to Europe for a few more dates in Luxembourg, Germany, Poland, Denmark, and once again the UK. Australians will also have the chance to witness the phenomenal RAYE at the beginning of her career. As soon as the new year arrives, RAYE will head overseas to hit Melbourne on February 1 and Sydney on February 7. For Australia, more dates will probably be added soon.
