Cordae Drops Surprise EP With An LP Not Far Behind

Cordae has finally released some new tracks that have come from a new EP, Just Until….  It dropped last Thursday, and this time around the legend-in-the-making has some crazy bars for us.

Just Until… A New Album?

The rapper formally known as YBN Cordae is coming off his 2019 debut album The Lost Boy with this EPThat first album of his received huge acclaim from critics, though, due to it’s cohesive content and great production.

The Grammy Awards later recognized Cordae’s debut by nominating it for Best Rap Album in 2020. One of the tracks off the record, “Bad Idea,” was nominated for Best Rap Song, as well.

That debut project was heavy on guest features from artists like Chance the Rapper, Anderson .Paak, Ty Dolla Sign, and Meek Mill. However, we got this back in July 2019, so fans have been itching for another flash of greatness from Cordae and his friends.

Luckily, Cordae wasn’t too quiet during the COVID-19 lockdown and released two singles – including one with Roddy Ricch titled “Gifted.” Now with this surprise four-track EP, Just Until…, it’s clear Cordae is coming back hotter than ever with even more versatility and flow.

If You Aren’t A Cordae Fan Now, You Will Be

The impressive EP was announced last Tuesday via Instagram and came as a shock to many. The rapper that first gained attention through his rap covers had finally dropped some more, original heat, which solidifies his place among rising rap names.

Many compare Cordae’s flow to that of J.Cole and those similarities can be seen on the EP. Although, Cordae puts his own spice on everything he touches with the various inspirations he pulls from.

For the small project, Cordae features member of A Tribe Called Quest Q-Tip in the headlining song, “More Life.” As well, he enlists the help of Young Thug for the head-bobbing tune, “Wassup.”

But by far Cordae shines the brightest on his stand-alone singles, “Dream In Color” and “Thornton Street.” These two songs alone highlight his storytelling and flow, proving how he can be the future of hip-hop.

Be on the look out for his sophomore full-length studio project From a Birds Eye View that he hinted is coming next. For now check out his new EP and a music video Cordae just dropped alongside it.
