Disney is known for making (and owning) most of our childhoods. Whether it’s Star Wars, Marvel, or the classic Disney films we all attach ourselves to something. One thing we can’t deny is, what most consider to be ACTUAL Disney, music is at the core of it. Songs like “I’ll Make a Man Out of You,” and “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” live in my head rent free. With the digital age, sure, I can listen to them and others whenever I want. That’s all fine and dandy, but there’s something different about holding a record in your hands. Well, if you share this sentiment then you’ll love that Disney has reissued FIVE OSTs, all uniquely colored. Those OSTs are:
Most of the films are celebrating various anniversaries. The oldest of which (or longest?) is Snow White, as the film turns 85 years old this year. It being the first animated feature film… ever, it’s certainly deserving of this treatment. While the other films have some phenomenal tracks, my favorite is Lilo & Stitch.
To this day I revisit Lilo & Stitch every so often. The beautiful watercolor painted backgrounds and story of family through a pet speaks to me. Wrapped up in a wonderfully sincere and warm vibe and the beach and you got my favorite 2D Disney film. As for the music of that film, it’s chill and exactly the kind that I adore.
Make sure to grab your own vinyl if any of those films are your faves. That’s it for now! For more on your favorites and unknown check out our Word and Drops sections.
