Global pop star Britney Spears teased that she is back working on new music, and has a new song in the way.
Celebrating Her Achievements and Teasing New Music
Taking over to Instagram to publicize the news while posting a video of her singing, Britney also took a moment to admire the accomplishments she has achieved in her long career. In the now-deleted caption, she shared, “I just realized this today guys, After what my family tried to do to me three years ago… I needed to be my own cheerleader! God knows they weren’t. So I just read up on my self and this is what I found.”
She then reads from her RCA Records artist bio. “Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning pop icon Britney Spears is one of the most successful and celebrated entertainers in pop history with nearly 100 million records sold worldwide. In the U.S. alone, she has sold more than 70 million albums, singles, and songs, according to Nielsen Music.”
She clarifies, “I’m not auditioning for anything! I’m reminding myself and the world of who I am! Yes, I will be my own cheerleader. Why? I’m here to remind my white ‘classy’ family that I haven’t forgotten what they did to me nor will I ever forget!”
Ending the note, “Pssst new song in the works. I’m gonna let you know what I mean!”
Britney is Finally Free
Britney has been celebrating her 13-year conservatorship coming to an end in November. A few weeks after the conservatorship officially ended, she confessed that although she was very happy enjoying her freedom, she did not want to go touring again, as that put a lot of pressure on her. Nevertheless, it looks like she will still be making new music.
Britney’s last album was 2016’s Glory, although she did add a new deluxe version of the album in 2020, where she included the 3 extra songs “Mood Ring (By Demand)”, “Swimming In The Stars” and “Matches” featuring Backstreet Boys.
Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart celebrated outside the courthouse on the day her conservatorship ended. “What’s next for Britney –– and this is the first time that this could be said for about a decade –– is up to one person: Britney.”
