Anderson .Paak is a man of many ambitions, from being an eight-time Grammy Award winner and a chart topper. Now, his latest project will be a feature film! K-Pops! is a dramedy about a washed-up musician who travels to Korea to write for K-Pop groups in search of a jumpstart in stardom. He finds his long-lost son is a member of the top groups in the country so he jumps at the opportunity. Will the musician start a new renaissance? Will he learn how to be a father? That’s the point of watching the movie so stay tuned for that!
Anderson .Paak will be starring and directing the film himself. Given his Korean heritage through his mother’s side, he wanted to finally explore that side of him. He has this to say in a recent interview:
“This movie is a reflection on my experience learning about this part of myself alongside my wife and son – and spending even more time with them!”
Adorable and sentimental. K-Pops! is a joint venture between Anderson .Paak and Stampede Ventures. Stampede Ventures, in their words, is “A premium content company creating the next generation of blockbluster franchises for the world.” Seems like just the kind of studio .Paak should be working with. The film is set to begin filming in Quarter 4 of this year. Here’s to hoping it turns out great!
