REVOLT, the media company spearheaded by Sean Combs, has just announced the lineup for the first edition of REVOLT World. It’s as stacked of a lineup as they come.
Don Toliver and Moneybagg Yo are the headliners, each getting prime real estate on Friday and Saturday as the musical closers for the day. As always, there’s plenty of talent left as you make your way through the billing. Jeezy, Omarion, Tee Grizzley, Lauren London, Young MA, and Royce Da 5’9 are slated for appearances—musical or otherwise. Long the main focus of REVOLT’s annual event, panels will feature many of those aforementioned names. Fans will get the chance to sit in on conversations with the likes of Yung Miami from City Girls, as well as media notables like Jemele Hill and Amber Grimes. All of this will be taking place the weekend of September 22nd in Atlanta.
A New Spin on the Yearly REVOLT Summit
As alluded to, though this is the first year for “REVOLT World” branding, REVOLT itself has been hosting a yearly industry summit for some time. Once a conference-like event that emphasized panels and presentations over live music, the company is changing its tune entirely. Diddy’s yearly in-person extravaganza is realigning to closely resemble other huge festivals that take place throughout the year. That’s not to say the mogul isn’t putting a spin on the festivities, though.
While the artists named in the poster certainly call to mind hip-hop mainstays like Rolling Loud, in its structure, the summit is closer to something like Made in America. On top of live music, the weekend will feature live podcasts, a LAN-party-esque gaming setup, and most interestingly, career opportunities. They’ve partnered with McDonald’s to host a studio section where up-and-coming artists and podcasters will have the chance to showcase their talents. This is all done, of course, with the hopes of attracting the attention of industry insiders in attendance.
Always willing to push the envelope, Diddy is ensuring that his addition to the festival slate stands out. You can find detailed ticket info on the official website now.
