UK Band Wet Leg Joins Harry Styles Onstage to Sing ‘Wet Dream’

UK band Wet Leg was already on Music Daily’s radar since January 2022, when we did an artist profile of 2021 The Guardian’s one to watch. One year later they’re sharing the stage together with Harry Styles, one of the most influencing artists worldwide. And this makes us very proud.

A dream became reality for Wet Leg, that probably would never have thought of an achievement this big. But thanks to the attention of their projects – especially the self-titled debut album – they finally made it.

Indeed, at his Tuesday (July 18) concert in Lisbon, Portugal, Styles invited Wet Leg to join him onstage for a surprise performance of their 2021 single “Wet Dream.” The 2022 MTV Push UK nominated band delighted the thousands of people in the audience singing their most iconic song “Wet Dream.” Yet another recognition of how good their music is.

It’s not the first time Harry Styles has payed homage to either Wet Leg. Last year, the Grammy winner covered the track for BBC Radio’s Live Lounge, after which Teasdale and Chambers shared their excitement by retweeting a clip of the performance and adding a smiling, melting emoji.

Styles is a big supporter of the Wet Leg project, as he also said to the Portuguese crowd: “It has been the most wonderful, wonderful tour watching them play every night. They’re one of my favorite bands”

Harry Styles was just one show away from completing his blockbuster Love on Tour, which has been running since September 2021. Wet Leg has served as opener for the trek throughout 2023, and will be at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia, Italy for the As It Was singer’s finale show.
