On Friday June 23rd, Bebe Rexha, Loud Luxury and Two Friends collaborated to release their new single “If Only I.” This nostalgic summertime song takes music fans back to the era of the 2010’s with its classic summertime vibes. The song debuted when the two groups decided to pull an eleven hour stunt at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. According to EDM.com, Two Friends member, Matt Halper said that “the first time we met Bebe was at Coachella, right before we went on and premiered it with her.” In the end, the things played out perfectly as the song was an instant hit with the crowd.
How Coachella Helped Forge This Collab
After the performance, Eli Stones from Two Friends told EDM, “the song isn’t even out yet, but people (were) singing it back which is pretty awesome.” As the two groups had been working on the collaboration for sometime, both Loud Luxury members told PM Studio Music that “We’ve been staying tight lipped about this collab for a while so it’s incredibly exciting to finally announce the release. We’ve had a tremendous amount of respect for the Two Friends guys and find ourselves playing a lot of the same venues. It truly felt right to work on something together.” They also hoped that all their fans loved it as much as they did. As the Two Friends are currently on their “Planet Two Friends” North American Tour, they hope to do more collaborations with Loud Luxury in the future.
In the meantime, Rexha will go on a small tour throughout Europe at the end of July. As for Loud Luxury, they will continue to tour across the US and Canada throughout the summer. With their latest single a success, hopefully the three artist have more up their sleeve.
