Arlo Parks, Glass Animals, and The xx in Amazon Special

Arlo Parks is in Her Prime

Arlo Parks is dropping a variety special that debuts worldwide on February 1st via Amazon Prime Video. Titled Tonight With Arlo Parks, the hour-long live music special is releasing in conjunction with her new album, “Collapsed in Sunbeams”.

Watch the trailer below.

The singer-songwriter and poet is a rising star, and she is rising quickly. Last year, she won BBC’s ‘Introducing Artist of the Year’. She also won AIM Independent Music Awards’ ‘One to Watch’. These accolades follow the release of two extended-plays, 2019’s “Super Sad Generation” and “Sophie”. A song of note from the EP day is “Cola“. It is an indie-pop/neo-soul track that oozes youthful desire and angst. No surprise, seeing as Parks is just 20 years old.

Parks’ new album is her first. Promoting it on streaming giant Amazon Prime is a major boost for her blossoming career. Just two years after coming onto the music scene she’s on the biggest website in the world.

The special will showcase songs from the debut album. It also includes poetry readings and discussion on the state of music and current events. The special features music from guests Glass Animals, Romy from The xx, and Dave Okumu from The Invisible. Parks previously collaborated with Glass Animals with a live version of their song “Tangerine”.

You can watch Tonight with Arlo Parks on Prime Video or on the Amazon Music app. Also, you can listen to Arlo Parks’ new album “Collapsed in Sunbeams” on all streaming platforms or buy a physical copy from Parks’ online store.
