SZA Teases Deluxe Version of “SOS” with Sensational Snippet

With a video posted on her IG profile and a caption that said, “Never fight over community D,” SZA has spoilered a snippet of a new song. The R&B songwriter has been teasing an expansion of her blockbuster sophomore album for a while, and now the big project is starting to look real.

Late last year, she posted a number of potential covers for the deluxe version of Lana, and suggested the project would drop before either fall or Christmas. But it actually never did. She also spoke to Billboard about the release, saying that she’s looking forward to finishing a chapter that meant so much to her.

Lana won’t be the classic deluxe we’re used to, but a whole other album of seven to ten songs. There are great expectations. Because, for SZA, SOS is not just an album. It’s the record that changed her life, the one that marked her first No. 1 album and has since been certified triple platinum.

SOS Marks Its One-Year Anniversary

The TDE singer recently commemorated the one-year anniversary of the release of SOS. Reflecting on this milestone, she shared on Instagram, “A day late but Happy 1 year anniversary to an album that is ACTIVELY CHANGING MY LIFE… like rn currently changing my life.” She also expressed gratitude for the journey and the support of her fans, stating, “Thank you to every person that streamed this album, came to a show, blasted it in traffic and connected with ANY part of me.”
