Today, we are celebrating another Swiftie success: cracking the code on 1989 (Taylor’s Version) vault tracks!
Cracking the Code: 1989
After announcing the official rerelease of 1989 during her final concert in Los Angeles on the Eras Tour, Taylor Swift has been busy keeping the mystery alive with her fans. Set to drop exactly nine years after its initial release, 1989 is definitely a fan-favorite in Swift’s discography. And with its release comes a whole new world of clues and hidden messages for dedicated fans. It appears that Taylor, known for her cryptic messages and Easter eggs in her every decision (down to her nail color!) has been busy scheming for this album for quite some time.
On October 27th, fans can look forward to five never-before-heard tracks to accompany 1989‘s rerelease. After Swifties around the world banded together to complete 33 million Taylor Swift-related puzzles on Google to crack the case, the mystery has finally been solved. 89 different words and phrases were scrambled on a Google pop-up for fans to decipher. In fact, there was so much traffic directed at Google from Swifties that the search engine momentarily broke! “Swifties, the vault is jammed! But don’t worry, there are no blank spaces inside,” the official Google Twitter account tweeted. “We’re in our fix-it era and will be out of the woods soon.”
