Steve Lacy, boygenius, and LCD Soundsystem are headlining the festival-like Re:SET Tour across the U.S. this summer.
Re:SET Tour will set foot in 12 cities across the U.S. over the course of four weekends in June. A lineup of performers are arranged alongside each headlining act. For example, boygenius gathers indie artists Clairo, Dijon, and Bartees Strange. Then, LCD Soundsystem brings along electronic artist Jamie xx; U.K. rock band Idles; Big Freedia; genre-bending artist L’Rain, and more. Lastly, Steve Lacy shares the Re:SET Tour stage with friend and collaborator Fousheé, influential singer-songwriter and producer Toro y Moi, and Mercury Prize-winning singer James Blake.
Re:SET Tour Cities
This spectacular live weekend experience officially launches on June 2. The Re:SET Tour superstar acts arrive at Los Angeles, San Diego and the Bay Area for that first weekend through June 4. Next, the second weekend June 9 through 11, the artists take over New Orleans, Atlanta, and Dallas. Following, Re:SET puts on a show for New York City, Boston, and Washington D.C from June 16 through 18. And for the fourth and final weekend- June 23 through 25- Re:SET Tour comes to a close in Nashville, Chicago, and Columbus, Ohio.
About The Headliners
Re:SET Tour headliners Steve Lacy and boygenius do not have much in common except that they were destined for greatness. They both maintain a high status in the music industry consistently making waves on the Billboard charts and social media. Firstly, Steve Lacy would score his first number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 back in October with his influential smash record “Bad Habit.” The TikTok viral song changed the course of pop music last year. More importantly, Lacy would achieve the global superstar status that he has been well deserving of for years. Secondly, Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus, or, boygenius made their long-awaited return with the record EP. The production quality and undeniable chemistry make for a great mini project from the trio.
And though Re:SET Tour headliner LCD Soundsystem strays from the spotlight, the band would make their five-year return with “new body rhumba” last year. The band has timeless disco/dance hits that will be around for generations to come. And that’s why they were able to achieve what most artists dream of: selling out Madison Square Garden. And so, we’ll just have to see what awaits in 2023 for LCD Soundsystem.
