For most rap artists, 2020 was a year to work on their craft and cook-up some legendary rhymes. Since the announcement in August, Rick Ross has been in the studio bringing to life a new album.
Richer Than I Ever Been is expected to drop later this month or early February.
Rick Ross looks to make a comeback after his album Port of Miami 2. As the sequel to his debut album, Ross saw time at #1 on Billboard’s rap charts in 2019. Meek Mill, Nipsey Hussle, Lil Wayne, and Drake all made huge appearances and we expect the feature list to be just as loaded for this new project.
Leading Up To The Release
In a November interview with Haute Living, the Boss announced the 11th studio album that looks at him in the best position he has been in mentally, physically, and of course financially. When asked about what the album’s title means to him, Ross said, “A lot of different things. You have to be connected with yourself more than you ever have to be richer than you’ve ever been. Before you open up and allow someone else to love you, you have to love yourself.”
Rick Ross has been fairly quiet this year only appearing in a few features and releasing the first single of the album “Pinned to The Cross” feat. Finn Matthews back in August. Rick Ross has kept the details under wraps but has confirmed that the album is dropping in January 2021.
The live performance posted on social media gives a hint that Rick Ross maybe finished recording and ready to drop what he says is his best work. During the story, the Florida-made rapper was promoting his book Hurricanes while his band practiced live.
