Harry Styles doesn’t stop! The dude has done tours, albums, and over the past couple of years, even films! If Don’t Worry Darling isn’t up your alley then maybe My Policeman is. Vanity Fair called it, “A powerful story of forbidden love, regret, and living as your true self.” As for the Rotten Tomatoes score, critics are giving it a 40% while audiences love it, giving My Policeman a 96%! The difference between this one is greater than I thought. Let’s take a look shall we?
Harry Styles Still Rocks It:
After looking at the trailer, I can say with certainty that the most stand out part about it is, like Darling, the acting. As for the story, it’s seemingly simple enough. My Policeman follows a man who marries and struggles with his desire for someone of the same sex. So while it may follow the same story, beats that we’ve seen before, people are saying it’s a pretty beautiful film. While I haven’t seen it myself, I can go ahead and draw some conclusions.
If I was a betting man, I’d say that if you’re head over heels for Harry Styles then you’ll probably like this one. I also have to give credit to the cinematography as, from the trailer, it looks like it breathes with the scenes. And hey! The music itself ain’t half bad. So don’t let the 40% critic score stop you!
