Jennie from BLACKPINK has partnered with world-renowned fashion house Calvin Klein for an intimate capsule collection.
Jennie for Calvin Klein
Calvin Klein has just launched their limited-edition capsule collection with long-time fan and campaign collaborator Jennie from BLACKPINK. The collection is entitled Jennie for Calvin Klein. It’s a mix of neutral, muted tones in chalk blue, lilac, desert, black, and white. The line is full of casual, comfortable, stylish clothes. It features baby t-shirts and joggers to bodysuits and knit mini dresses, not to mention the classic Calvin Klein underwear. The collection is chic in the simplest of ways.
Kara Nesvig at Teen Vogue reports that Jennie made the fashion line based on many of her “personal style preferences.” Nesvig then quotes a statement Jennie released about the collection.
“Collaborating with Calvin Klein on this capsule has been an exciting progression in our partnership. This collection reflects my everyday style and is based on many of the Calvin Klein essentials that have become staples in my wardrobe. I wanted to bring a personal touch to these pieces, which you’ll see reflected in the fit, the color palette, and the details. My aspiration for this collection is that everyone will feel as happy and confident in these pieces as I do.”
The clothes’ prices range from $25 to $150. Many of the clothes have already sold out, as the line opened May 10th. However, some pieces are still available. Browse and buy Jennie from Calvin Klein here.
An Inevitable Partnership
It seems as though this capsule collection was meant to be. Jennie began working with Calvin Klein two years ago when she became the face for the Spring 2021 collection. Since then, the K-pop star has modeled Calvin Klein’s fashion, not once, but twice every year in the seasonal Fall and Spring campaigns. According to Hannah Dailey at Billboard, Jennie recently starred in the Spring 2023 campaign, alongside other ambassadors such as Michael B. Jordan, Kendall Jenner, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Ingrid Vasquez at People quoted a press release from Jonathan Bottomley, Calvin Klein’s global chief marketing officer, discussing the inevitable collaboration.
“Having worked with Jennie on several campaigns, we know firsthand that she is a cultural powerhouse. Her persona, talent, and distinctive style have a major global impact. Our partnership stems from an authentic place – Jennie is a longtime fan of the brand – and we wanted to deepen that relationship by bringing her personal perspective to our products. The result is a mix of Jennie’s coveted style and Calvin Klein’s most iconic essentials, which we know will resonate strongly with consumers around the world.”
