Ingrid Andress Returns With “Good Person”

Rising country artist Ingrid Andress released her new single “Good Person,” her first solo song in two years.

Ingrid is Back After Two Years

If you are a fan of country music, you might have heard of the name Ingrid Andress before. If not, you HAVE to listen to her! Her music is truthful, passionate, and heartfelt all at the same time, and will always leave you wanting to hear more.

“Good Person” is Ingrid’s first taste of new solo music in two years. In 2020, she released her debut album Lady Like, which included hit songs like “More Hearts Than Mine” and “The Stranger.” After that, she released the holiday track “Christmas Always Finds Me” and joined forces with Sam Hunt for her lone single of 2021 on “Wishful Drinking.” Now, she’s finally back and blessing us with new music.

She Wonders What it Takes to be a “Good Person”

In, “Good Person,” Ingrid wonders what it actually takes for a person to be good, after trying hard to be one for many years but feeling like she’s failed at it. “’Cause I’ve cheated and lied, and made people cry. But I pray for the ones that I love every night. And I’ve shattered some hearts and my thoughts get dark. But I’d stop for a stranger who’s falling apart. I’m still learning. Good, good person,” she sings in the chorus.

“I wrote ‘Good Person’ when I realized that I was starting to question a lot of things,” Ingrid says. “What makes somebody good and what does that look like, and in a world of being so judgmental of other people, what makes you better than them?” Andress continues, “With the video, I really wanted to mesh these worlds of light and dark and highlight the parallels between the two. Stay tuned fam. This is just the beginning.”

Ingrid will be touring North America opening for Keith Urban this summer. Her first appearance will be on June 17 in Tampa, FL, and continue until the tour wraps up on November 5 in St Paul, MN. For all dates, more information, and tickets to the shows, click here.
