Welcome to Music Daily’s Trending Tracks, where we highlight the artists and trends occupying the music industry’s attention. Some emerge from the woodwork, and others endure a months-long crusade to greatness. Nonetheless, all of them are captivating the short-circuited minds of Gen-Z social media users.

Today, Twitch’s expansive audience reach seems to be music’s go-to avenue for music marketing. Other (newer) stars have found more organic growth and some hot features to secure a sizable impact in the industry. This week’s Trending Track chart includes rappers Lil Yachty and Ian, lesbian rocker Gigi Perez, and rap hotshot Real Boston Richey.

“Hate Me” by Lil Yachty & ian

Peaking on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 68, American rappers Lil Yachty and rap newcomer ian trade one-ups to their opps on “Hate Me.” The collaboration quickly garnered attention after Twitch streamer Kai Cenat debuted the song to his 13.3 million following. After a month of release, the Lyrical Lemonade-promoted music video generated over 9M views on YouTube. Stream “Hate Me” by Lil Yachty & ian below!

“Sailor Song” by Gigi Perez

The cherry on top of Gigi Perez’s newfound alt-rock success is her inking a deal with Island Records. Her breakout lesbian crooner, “Sailor Song,” scored big on streaming, sitting at No. 20 on Spotify U.S., underscoring its over 85M global streams on the platform. The weathered love track also tracked over nearly 250,000 TikTok creations. Stream “Sailor Song” by Gigi Perez below!

“Get In There” by Real Boston Richey (featuring GloRilla)

Real Boston Richey’s latest bid for XXL Freshman Class gets an honorary feature from GloRilla. “Get In There” succeeds the viral success of “Help Me,” similarly boasting aggressive bars, punchy instrumentals and gritty verses. After garnering millions of streams in past projects, the Future-signed rapper is destined to make Florida proud (again) in 2024 as the next big voice in rap.
