ERRA’s New Album? It’s Coming Soon!

Kicking Off A New ERRA

Mark your calendars, because ERRA’s new album is on the way. On March 19, Australia’s premiere independent record label, UNFD, is releasing the band’s fifth album.

The highly anticipated 12-track release is titled ERRA. This self titled record comes not only during a global pandemic, but also a decade after their debut, Impulse. ERRA is constantly evolving and shaping the metal genre with their music. This upcoming record is going to be no different.

ERRA was mixed and mastered by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, a Grammy-nominated production duo. They have worked with everyone from heavy metal bands like All That Remains to alternative rockers like Everclear.

In a press release, ERRA vocalist J.T. Cavey further explained the strength of this upcoming record. “This album especially is music written for musicians that also appeals to the masses. There are a lot more breakdowns on this record, but also bigger melodies. The most important thing was to write music we enjoy.”

March 19 will give fans a new look into the minds of ERRA and each band member. All five bandmates will use their talents to take listeners on a journey.

This new chapter also delves into reflection and reality. It plans to tell an in-depth, immersive story through songs that tackle depression, anxiety, and desperation. Without losing their signature – equally aggressive and ethereal – sound, the band has clearly grown since Impulse.

Getting Ready for ERRA’s New Album

Before ERRA’s new album drops, they released it’s lead single with an accompanying music video. “Divisionary” came out Wednesday, January 13 and sets the tone for the upcoming full length record. They let rock and roll symphonies chronicle the world we live in.

Vocalist and guitarist Jesse Cash detailed the story behind the single in the press release, as well. “It’s a song about our relationship to technology. The song is pretty on the nose and intentionally a bit tongue-in-cheek. It creates a sort of campy parallel between our phones and religion.”

“Divisionary” is a fresh approach to metal that intertwines instrumentation, vocal harmony, and complex chord progressions. In just over three and a half minutes, ERRA creates an epic that rivals the styles found in art rock. (Never losing their rock and roll edge, though.) ERRA, the record, is sure to touch on that, too.

The music video is a live performance from ERRA that has timed graphics and lights mirror the changes in tempo. It’s an electric video and song that fills your mind, body, and soul with some of ERRA’s best music to date. Even with five albums under their belt, this modern metal quintet is still proving their best is yet to come.
