Coming in at just under four minutes, the track is a grunge approach to a pop love song. Much of what Goo does falls in the post-pop, alternative rock category. Therefore, this song, and the EP as a whole, is no different.

This alt-rock love song cherishes relationships without any ifs, ands, or buts. Danny Goo himself wants to be vulnerable and showcase the honesty (and artistry) that comes with that.
At the end of the song, the post-punk performer croons “Didn’t expect to feel that way for you,” twice. The repetition of this line is almost allowing listeners to hear Goo convince himself of the reality of being in love. It tapers off into instrumentation as the video wraps up with the wooden hand dropping the phone. It’s ominous and unforgiving, but new love can feel that way.
