Country star Chris Lane released his latest single “Stop Coming Over,” an intimate track dedicated to his wife.
“Stop Coming Over” – Personal and Emotional
In “Stop Coming Over,” Chris reflects on the past before Lauren, his partner, became his wife. The song reveals how back when the two lovebirds were dating, things started getting serious as Lauren was coming over to visit Chris pretty often. Later on, Christ decided to finally ask her to move in, as their relationship was becoming significant for him.
“Hey, what you say we decorate and slap some paint on these doors? Soon as I met you, knew I’d let you get to makin’ it yours. We can drop that under the mat, get you a key of your own. When you gonna stop comin’ over and start comin’ home?” Chris sings in the chorus.
“I’m so pumped to release ‘Stop Coming Over!’” Lane says of the song. “When I listened to this song for the first time and heard that hook, I knew I had to record it. It’s so catchy and the songwriting is so clever; I just loved everything about it. I can’t wait for everyone to hear this one and perform it live for y’all on the road!”
“Stop Coming Over” arrives only a few months after the release of “Ain’t Even Met You Yet,” another sentimental and emotional song from Chris. The song was dedicated to his newborn son Dutton, born this past June.
