Zara Larsson & Young Thug Collaborate in ‘Talk About Love’

Zara Larsson surely knows how to kick off the new year with new music. Last Friday, the Swedish singer-songwriter dropped her first song of 2021 ‘Talk About Love’ featuring the rapper Young Thug.

Zara Doesn’t Want to Talk About Love

‘Talk About Love’ is Zara’s lead single from her upcoming third album, Poster Girl. The single comes after the release of the ABBA-inspired ‘Love Me Land’ and the sudden resurgence of ‘WOW’, a droplet released in 2019 that became viral after being featured in the Netflix movie Work it. She eventually dropped a remix featuring the movie’s lead actress Sabrina Carpenter — who is a singer too — and charted in the UK.

The new song’ features American rapper Young Thug. A month prior to the single’s release, she called Thug a ‘king’ for daring to wear skirts and to push boundaries further regarding the representation of masculinity in rap. Several times during his career, Young Thug has claimed that it is possible to be gangsta even wearing a dress. (What a king!)

“’Talk About Love’ is about that phase before two people work out what they are to one another,” the pop star explained of the single in a press release. “That specific window is so beautiful and fragile, as soon as you start asking ‘are we doing this?’ or ‘how do *you* feel?’, for some people that ruins the magic. ‘Talk About Love’ is savoring that moment before you have to decide.”

She Has a New Album on The Way!

Alongside dropping the song, she also announced that her upcoming album Poster Girl will be out on March 5th! “POSTERGIRL out March 5th. It’s finally on it’s way to you. I’m so proud of this baby, so thankful for every single producer and writer who helped me craft my international sophomore project. I hope you will love it just as much as I do. Preorder in my bio 💕” Zara posted on her Instagram.
