Welcome to Music Daily’s Trending Tracks, where we highlight the artists and trends occupying the music industry’s attention. Some come out of the woodwork, others have endured a months-long crusade to greatness. Nonetheless, all of them are captivating the short-circuited minds of Gen-Z social media users.

This week, Zach Bryan shows some country nostalgia for the album track “28” from his new album, The Great American Bar. In the same beat, many people are re-living their European discoteca glory days with Edward Maya and Vika Jigulina’s iconic clubby collaboration, “Stereo Love.” Dallas-born rapper ian and Bloomington native BlackMayo also chart on this week’s Trending Tracks.

“Magic Johnson” by ian

ian’s “Magic Johnson” takes woozy trap an extra step for the Valedictorian, or so his new mixtape states. The already buzzy single got a second wave of anticipation when video game streamer iShowspeed used the single on his Instagram story, promoting his upcoming live stream with a new mix. Coined also as the “new white dude in rap,” ian is Asher Roth’s and Lil Dicky’s long-lost goofy twin with the vernacular of ATL greatness like Playboi Carti and Gucci Mane. “28” by Zach Bryan

The fifth Zach Bryan studio album, The Great American Bar, stacks teary eyes with A-list features from Noeline Hofmann, John Moreland, John Mayer and Bruce Springsteen. First leading with the TikTok viral “Pink Skies,” his folky vignette still holds a dormant resilience that’s extra welcoming on the track “28.” Zach Bryan originally debuted the song on April 11 via YouTube with only his vocals, the piano and his friend and band member, Chris Braun, on guitar.

The Oklahoma-born took to X/Twitter to shed more light on the trending track. “Boston, our puppy was going into surgery, and I told Brianna, ‘How lucky are we?’ to have had a puppy so beautiful, and she came out of it just fine,” the 28-year-old said. “I wrote it the next day because I felt like the luckiest man on the planet.” Stream “28” by Zach Bryan below!

“Jus’ Know” by BlackMayo

BlackMayo finally reached a second wave of fame six years after releasing “Jus’ Know.” The 2018 single was a major part of his debut mixtape with the familiar rags-to-riches story supported by braggadocio rap. “Jus’ Know” currently has 30k TikTok videos using the sound. “Stereo Love” by Edward Maya and Vika Jigulina

This club staple sees a resurgence whenever there’s a recession, simply because people want to dance away their problems! The title track from Romanian DJ Edward Maya’s 2009 album samples Azerbaijani musician Eldar Mansurov‘s “Bayatılar,” with Vika Jigulina’s siren vocals laid on top.

“Stereo Love” is recirculating on TikTok as young millennials are “beefing” with Gen Z’s recluse clubbing habits, overall tarnishing the club legacy that Jersey Shore acolytes set forth years ago. But the Eurodance track is the golden age of future nostalgia, not a trivial means to hash online beef. Stream “Stereo Love” by Edward Maya and Vika Jigulina below!
