After blowing up on TikTok and generating 33 million+ streams, platinum rapper Yung Gravy unveiled the remix for “oops!”. This time around, Gravy is taking advantage of the fame by adding one Hip-Hop’s greatest: Lil Wayne.
The remix features a slightly upgraded instrumental reminiscent of The 2 Live Crew. There are also a few new bars from the yung star.
Lil Wayne of course does wat he’s been doing for over a decade now and that is spit some insane flows. The remix may very well be a better composition of the previous hit, but nothing with replace the viral element of the first.
Yung Gravy’s Original
“Oops!” is the fifth track off of Yung Gravy’s 14-track, second studio album Gasanova. Although the musician doesn’t bring much wow factor in the rhyme scheme or flow, Yung Gravy embodies everything a frat boy would love. His music has an unmatched level of humor in rap right now. His simplistic lyricism also make him a recipe for viral success.
Since hitting the scene in 2018 with “Mr.Clean” off of Snow Cougar, Yung Gravy has collaborated with heavy-hitters like Chief Keef, Lil Baby, and Ski Mask the Slump God. Gravy has been consistently making music waiting for a viral hit. Yung Gravy has released two albums back in 2020 and last month an EP– Tracy’s Ultimate Fitness Mix.
As his second viral hit, Gravy is clearing out space for him and his fans in the rap industry. The game has never seen anyone quite like him. The 24-year-old has bloomed into a phenomenon with over 1 billion streams and some plaques with no shortage of style.
Arguably as Yung Gravy’s biggest hit, “oops” brings more pop vibes to his music than ever before. It is a reminder to not take his music or life too seriously. Especially with lyrics like,” Ayy, Supercalifragilisticexpiali-dope shit/ Supercalifragilis… my ex be on some hoe shit.”
Hopefully, now that Yung Gravy has some heavy hitters backing his corner, his flow and style will be taken to the next level.
