Yameii Takes PC Music to New Heights with “CANDY +”

The virtual pop star's deluxe edition of March's "Candy" album features four new tracks.

Yameii Online is already at the pinnacle of PC music with the release of March’s CANDY. Now, prepare for a sugar rush over her newly-released deluxe edition, CANDY +.

Surprise single  “Bubble 。・°(⌒-⌒; )” feat. Deko” best encapsulates the vibe of CANDY+: volatile and fun. Deko’s jittery rap bouncing off hypnotic electronica beeps just itches the brain in the right places. As his temper bubbles throughout the song, Deko’s lyricism showcases an unbreakable prerogative. Other deluxe tracks include “Up ∩^ω^∩ feat. Deko,” “monsterrr 。. o(≧▽≦)o .。” and “Venus Saturn +2 ☆.”

Before the release of Candy+, Yameii and Deko wrapped up their sold-out US tour. Titled “Deko with Yameii & Friends,” they made history in 11 cities as the first-ever hologram tour.

Who is Yameii Online?

What started as an imaginary world for 12-year-old Osean transformed into a multi-platform immersive experience at the intersection of music and art, with the virtual Yameii as the main character. With the help of Grammy-nominated producer Deko (Drake, Migos, and Chris Brown), they refined her iconic hyper-pop sound, blending pop, electronic sounds, and rap in a way that appeals to both Western and Eastern audiences.

The vocaloid has over 80M total streams and is the lead character in Oseanworld, a psychedelic fast-paced anime-like virtual series that gathered over 31M views on YouTube. However, Yameii broke the Hatsune Miku mold with 2021’s breakthrough hit “Baby My Phone.” The song amassed 39M streams from peaking No. 2 on Spotify’s Viral 50 chart, playlisting, and going TikTok viral.

Duo-creators Osean and Deko are continuously finding success with Yameii in non-traditional spaces. With a sold-out tour, the vocaloid dominates lives spaces and even had a digital art booth at Coachella 2023. With trending visual artist Osean collaborating with 21 Savage and Lil Uzi Vert and hosting an art experience at Amsterdam’s NXT museum, it’s easy to see Yameii was always destined for a real IT-girl moment– pun intended.
