Wale Pokes Single Out Ahead Of New Album

If you haven’t heard D.C. rapper Wale’s newest single featuring J.Cole, you’re missing out on a gem. “Poke It Out” is the ghetto poet’s newest track on a project dropping at the end of this month. The song is a playful bounce that almost immediately makes you nod your head.

Wale keeps the cheerful pace going as the sample of Q-Tip’s “Vivrant Thing” loops in the back. And even though both artists are more conscious in their rap style, they lighten things up for this track. This song won’t be pushing its way to the top of a music chart anytime soon but it is still a really solid record. Both Wale and J. Cole come with amazing energy and the combination of both mixes well.

And as the weather cools down, it seems like these two are heating up for the second half of 2021. After getting huge acclaim for his cover of Drake’sPipe Down” J. Cole is sitting close to the top of The Off-Season album that came out earlier this year. His album is in conversation to be one of the best in 2021 and he is stating his case with great feature after feature.

Wale Starting His 2021 Campaign

As for Wale, he is on the brink of an album dropping this month. After dropping three songs this year including “Down South” and “Angles (feat. Chris Brown)” Wale is ready to hit us with his ninth project.

Folarin II is the sequel to his 2012 album that helped him break onto the scene. As of right now, the album will be dropping on October 22 with 13 songs yet to be revealed.

Wale is also set to hit the road pretty soon. From October 28-30 he will be at Rolling Loud New York. And On November 20 he will be in Detroit, MI with rap legend Nas.
