TWICE have just made Billboard history with their newest mini album, BETWEEN 1&2.
TWICE’s “BETWEEN 1&2”
Kpop idols TWICE have dominated the Billboard charts with their latest mini album, BETWEEN 1&2. According to E. Cha at Soompi, BETWEEN 1&2 debuted at No. 3 of the Billboard 200. This made TWICE the first female kpop artists ever to have two albums in the Top 3 of that chart. Their first album at the Top 3 of the Billboard 200 was last year’s Formula of Love: O+T=<3. This also made TWICE the first kpop girl group to ever have three albums in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. TWICE’s mini album also made No. 2 on the Tastemaker Albums chart.
The girls’ mini album also made No. 1 on three separate charts. BETWEEN 1&2 debuted at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart, the Top Current Album Sales chart, and the World Albums chart. It had the fifth-largest sales week of all albums released in the U.S. this year. Clearly, those accolades are well-deserved.
However, they don’t stop there. TWICE re-entered the Artist 100 chart at No. 1. This was their first time ever topping the chart! They are also only the second female kpop act to ever reach No. 1 on the Artist 100 chart, after BLACKPINK.
Three of the songs from BETWEEN 1&2 made the World Digital Songs Sales chart: “Talk that Talk” debuted at No. 4, “Queen of Hearts” debuted at No. 13, and “Basics” debuted at No. 15. “Talk that Talk” also debuted at No. 10 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, as well as No. 18 on the Global 200 chart.
TWICE are clearly proving their popularity and worth to the U.S. with BETWEEN 1&2.
