“Ain’t Safe” is the first joint song that the pair has made together, and let me just say, I’m not disappointed.
On October 28, Trippie Redd and Don Toliver released their newest single, “Ain’t Safe.”
This single follows Trippie’s most recent two songs that surfaced on September 30, “Save Me, Please” and “1st Degree Murder” on the EP First Draft. Fans are saying that Trippie could be teasing songs that might land on A Love Letter To You 5. That, or he’s bored and making a bunch of random music. Now, lets learn more about the singers behind this “Ain’t Safe” record.
Trippie Redd
Born Michael Lamar White IV, Trippie Redd is a rapper from Canton, Ohio. He used to make mixtapes in 2016 like Beast Mode and Rock The World Trippie, but became most widely known for his album A Love Letter to You. Even more, the album released in 2017 and reached the top 100 of the Billboard 200. Then, as his fame grew, he relocated to Atlanta.
The “Ain’t Safe” singers first Hot 100 entry that boosted his name even more was his Travis Scott assisted single, “Dark Knight Dummo” in 2018. Trippie is very influential in the way that he mixes rap with rock, much like many of the rappers of this generation like Lil Uzi, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi and more.
Many people also mention that they might know Trippie Redd for his relationship with rapper Coi Leray, whom he wrote the popular song “Leray” about.
Trippie Redd, in addition, has had 43 gold and platinum certifications from the RIAA throughout his career. His melancholy love songs and heartfelt raps have touched fans all over the world. Undoubledly, it was hit single “Love Scars” from 2017 that propelled him to cult leader status, with many heavy supporters.
Don Toliver
Caleb Zackery Toliver, A.K.A Don Toliver, is the feature artist on “Ain’t Safe.” He was born and raised in Houston, Texas. As a matter of fact, he learned how to sing while growing up listening to R&B artists like Sade. The singer and his friend/fellow music artist Young Josh, released many tracks and even a mixtape together. Actually, Don received recognition by Atlantic Records and started moving up from there.
Next, in 2018 Travis Scott releases his third studio album, Astroworld. The album featured Don Toliver singing on the track “Can’t Say.” Fans LOVED it and thought that Toliver’s voice was beautiful. Then, it was announced that Don had signed to Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack label. After his appearance on Astroworld and being in Cactus Jack, he released several singles like “Best You Had,” “Can’t Feel My Legs,” and Tik Tok viral song “No Idea.”
The singer/rapper became a viral sensation and had gained a large following. He was also a collaborator in the Cactus Jack compilation album Jackboys, specifically in the songs “Gang Gang” and “Had Enough.”
Furthermore, the “Diva” singer is a fashion icon and the boyfriend of “Telepatía” singer Kali Uchis. The pair have been together since 2020. They made the song “Drugs N Hella Melodies” together from his newest album Life Of A Don. The music video captures the two sensually singing in a bathtub. Notably, the collaboration showed their musical chemistry as well as the physical.

Above all, Trippie Redd and Don Toliver are both rappers who can sing, and they have complimentary flows and deliveries. Their vocals combine beautifully in “Ain’t Safe.” Not to mention, both of their music styles are very unique in comparison to other popular music of this generation.
“Ain’t Safe” is about partying, smoking, and diamonds! The luxury life. Although there isn’t much meaning to the song, you can’t listen to “Ain’t Safe” without bopping your head. Fans are extremely exuberant about Trippie’s forthcoming album; some say it might even be his best yet. It seems that as of recent, Trippie Redd has been experimenting a lot with his music. Hopefully the album lives up to our expectations!
