Travis Scott, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd. Three names that have nothing in common and we probably never expected to see on a track together. But hey, never say never. “K-POP” is the name of the single of the current most successful trio in the entire globe.
New Album Utopia
“K-POP” is the first release of Utopia, Travis Scott’s forthcoming album, which should be released in a few days. It’s not their first time together on a track for Travis Scott – who has just announced a live date at the Pyramids of Giza.
The two have indeed collaborated previously on ‘Power Is Power’, ‘Pray 4 Love’, ‘Wake Up’ and ‘Skeletons’, while it is the first occasion in which the Puerto Rican artist shares a track with the others (if we do not consider 2017 Travis’ remix of ‘Krippy Kush’ by Bad Bunny).
The team behind ‘K-POP’
The beat has the signatures of BNYX (“Come & Rescue”), Jahaan Sweet (“N95”), Illangelo (“The Hills”), Bo1-da (“The Blacker The Berry”) and Mike Dean (“Ni**as In Paris”). Travis Scott puts his hip-hop stamp and he’s followed by Bad Bunny’s rhythmic lyrics. Last but not least, The Weeknd’s verses are pure sexyness and attractive mysteriousness.
No doubt the track will get to the top charts in not even a week probably, and it couldn’t be otherwise. It’s hard to think of a bigger collaboration that happened this year. The three artists have done what they do and know better, and somehow it worked. Sign that talent has no genre, it’s like a perpetual flow that can’t be stopped.
If “K-POP” is the first taste of Utopia, we’ll never get enough.
